Position: Nursery and Perennial Worker
Position Overview: Nursery associates are employed to promote, merchandise, plant, maintain, and sell nursery stock, roses, perennials, and other plant material. Associates also answer phones and provide excellent customer service company wide.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Greet customers when entering or leaving department
- Daily Watering and Fertilizing of all plants
- Maintaining premium quality plants
- Plant production
- Unloading shipments
- Check in and price inventory
- Order entry and inventory control
- Merchandising Plant Material
- Maintaining a clean and tidy department and workspace
- Ensure pricing is correct
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Other duties assigned by Nursery Manager or Chief Executive Officer

- Ability to provide high level customer service
- Product knowledge

- Organizational skills
- Computer skills- excel, word, google docs, etc.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to lift product 50lbs or more
Education and Training:
- Fulfilled or working towards high school diploma or its equivalent
- Prior experience in retail and customer service desirable but not required
- Prior experience and education in horticulture industry desirable but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship, Seasonal
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
