Based in the heart of downtown Lowell, Lowell Community Health Center is growing and currently looking to hire talented clinical and administrative healthcare professionals. Provide direct patient care and supervise nursing/clinical staff (including Lab. Assistant) in the provision of quality patient care. Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of policies, protocols and systems to ensure efficient operation of all clinical aspects. Manage day-to-day operation of the clinic. Participate in recruitment, hiring process, and performance evaluation of the clinical staff.Oversee rotating schedule among nurses for daily coverage of triage functions that include incoming calls from patients, hospitals, external physicians, nursing homes, etc., and walk-in patients.
Verify providers' schedules in advance with Administrative Coordinator to ensure adequate clinical staffing coverage. Schedule new hire and department training for new clinical staff/nursing and student interns.Coordinate in-service education for clinic support staff and providers in collaboration with Program Director.Facilitate the resolution of staff grievances/complaints, following Lowell CHC guidelines and policies where required.Work collaboratively with Program Director, medical providers and other departments to ensure that the goals of the Health Center are accomplished.
At least three to five years clinical nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting or outpatient setting is desirable, with a focus on family practice. At least one-year managerial experience in a healthcare facility required with two years preferred. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing and a current Massachusetts RN license.
Certification in ambulatory care nursing desirable. Computer skills and knowledge of computer applications and programs are required. Possess the ability to understand Southeast Asain culture, health belief and practice is desirable.Bilingual in English/Khmer preferred.
