Nurse Resident Program
- 10-Week Program
- Program runs monthly, beginning the third week of each month
- Must have completed an ADN or BSN program
- Must have a valid Nursing License with the state of NC or a Multistate License. NC Emergency Graduate Permit also accepted.
- You will receive up to 12-weeks of unit specific orientation once the program has concluded
- 2-year commitment
Rotate through 5 nursing areas to include:
- Med Surg Telemetry
- IMCU
- ICU
- Women's and Children's
- Emergency Department
You will be assigned to a unit at the end of the program based on your top 3 areas of interest and the needs of the organization.
- Units include: IMCU, Med Surg Telemetry, L&D, Nursery, Maternal Child, Telemetry, ICU and Emergency Department
- RN's work three 12-hour shifts per week to include a weekend, holiday and call rotation.
Immersion experience in the following ancillary departments:
- Infection Prevention
- Respiratory
- Pharmacy
- Laboratory
- Surgery
- Case Management
- Inpatient Rehab
- Wound Care
- Cardiac Rehab
Classes Included:
- General and Nursing Service Orientation
- BLS
- Non-Violent Cri sis Intervention
- Nursing Management of Central Vascular Access Devices Peritoneal Dialysis
- Care and Management of Ectopic Pregnancies
