The Graduate Nurse Residency Program at Henry Ford - Jackson provides a collaborative learning environment to assist in the transition from Graduate Nurse to registered nurse. The Nurse Resident will have the opportunity to build, refine, and enhance skills introduced during their nursing program under the direction of a Master prepared Residency Program Manager, as well as Unit Educators, Preceptors and nursing colleagues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Currently in last semester of or graduated from an accredited RN program
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
- Ability to accommodate Full Time orientation schedule
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve
- Critical thinking skills and judgment necessary to assign and direct others in the delivery of patient care
- Knowledge about the care of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Basic computer knowledge
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Active Michigan Nursing License within 90 days of hire
- Current BLS or obtained during Patient Care Orientation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)
