SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY - Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objective of position) The Nurse Recruitment and Retention Specialist is responsible for the following recruitment and retention duties for the Nursing Divisions. Recruitment: Attracting and efficiently hiring qualified and competent experienced registered nurses, new-to-practice nurses and advanced practice nurses who embrace BH mission and values. Develop and implement a comprehensive nursing recruitment plan in collaboration with Nursing leadership and in alignment with the Nursing and Human Resources strategic plans. Integrates a thorough knowledge of human resource management with expertise in contemporary nursing practices and care delivery systems to design and manage recruitment initiatives that meet current and future staffing needs. Specific responsibilities include the development/implementation of recruitment plans, and marketing, screening and interview guides, applicant interviews and correspondence; relationship building and adherence to federal and state employment laws. Cultivate relationships with healthcare professionals: nursing schools, clinical faculty that are on our campuses and nurses or students interested in nursing opportunities. Provide the best possible experience for our nursing professionals through initiating contact, maintaining exceptional rapport and providing extraordinary customer service. Attend and coordinate all recruitment events with nursing leadership. Collaborates with nursing leadership and Human Resources to create and maintain systems to support expeditious hiring and workforce development through analysis of current recruitment strategies and the development of processes and systems to continuously improve the recruitment and retention of excellent nurses. Retention: Acts as ambassador to Baptist Health nurses, providing information and support services at all stages of the employee life cycle: recruitment, onboarding, orientation, career planning, career development, and transition. Partners and collaborates with nursing leadership and recruitment in developing strategies to retain a strong work force and promotes Baptist Health as an employer of choice in the community. Support the professional development and engagement of RNs by communicating directly with employees who seek new positions within or outside the organization with the intent to offer them alternatives to stay with the organization. Work closely with Human Resources and nursing across the continuum.. Collaborate with HR and hiring leaders to implement workforce strategies which include internal and external benchmarking to further identify drivers around nursing recruitment and retention strategies. Engage resources and expertise from various community sources to ensure the development of school-to work readiness.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, Master's degree in Nursing preferred. An unencumbered RN license in the state of Arkansas required. Minimum of five (5) years of professional level experience in recruitment and selection activities or RN with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an administrative or program management role in a Nursing department. Demonstrated knowledge of human resources management as applied to nursing with recruitment and selection experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing care practices and care delivery structures. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and customer service skills. Effective organization, planning and follow-up skills. Knowledge and experience of recruitment purposes, and experience in the use of computers for word processing and statistical analysis purposes. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
