Responsibilities:
- Primary Care: conduct through health assessments, physical examinations, and screenings for women across the lifespan.
- Reproductive Health: Provide expert care in family planning, contraception counseling, and management of gynecological conditions.
- Women’s Health Screenings: Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as Pap smears, mammograms, and bone density scans. Conduct routine screenings.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on women’s health issues, preventive care and lifestyle modification. Address questions and concerns regarding reproductive health and family planning.
- Collaborative Care: Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Health Promotion: Promote health and wellness through preventive measures and health promotion programs. Encourage and support healthy lifestyle choices.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform clinical procedures as needed.
- Electronic Health Record (HER): Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) certification.
- Current state Nurse Practitioner license.
- Board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Proven experience in women’s health, gynecology, and obstetrics.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered, compassionate care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
