Job description

IU Health Physicians is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Family Medicine team at our Epler Parke clinic!

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Day Shift
    • Offering a 5 or 4 day work week
    • No weekends, holidays, or call, allowing for work/life balance
  • 100% outpatient
  • Expected patient volume is 80/week, all ages
  • Team includes 9 physicians and 1 other advanced practice provider

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
  • Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
  • Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
  • Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
  • Serves as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, physicians, hospital, and other healthcare providers.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients, staff, and management.
  • Manage acute and long-term care of the patient.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required
  • FNP certification required
  • 2-3 years of outpatient experience in Primary Care or urgent care highly preferred
  • Will consider highly motivated new graduates with ICU, ER or Critical Care RN Experience
