Growing practice in North Hollywood is adding a Nurse Practitioner to join their pulmonology team! This is a full-time permanent position with a stable schedule and the group is also willing to train the right candidate, provided they are interested in specializing in this field of medicine. Responsibilities:
- Full-time permanent position - Pulmonology
- Los Angeles area - North Hollywood
- Monday-Friday schedule, 9 AM to 5 PM
- No nights, no weekends
- Supporting pulmonary, sleep medicine, and critical care physicians
- Perform diagnostic testing such as spirometry and FeNO
- Outpatient schedule will include new patient visits, urgent visits, outpatient follow up appointments and ongoing patient care
- Areas of interest include: lung cancer, lung disease, sleep apnea, COPD, asthma, narcolepsy, and insomnia
- Order appropriate diagnostic testing for patients and interpret test results to determine abnormal conditions such as labs, imaging, PFTs and sleep studies
- Prescribe medication for patients
- Document and update patient records
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN, NP, FNP, AGNP)
- Recent graduates with relevant clinical rotations or work experience
- Active California license
- DEA license
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
