The Role
Headlands Research is looking for a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as we run cutting edge clinical research trials. The ideal candidate is passionate about clinical trials and making a difference and a team player who can collaborate and move at a fast pace. This position will start out on a PRN/per-diem basis with the potential to turn into a full-time position in Q3 or Q4.
Type: PRN/Per-Diem
Schedule: Clinic hours are Mondays through Fridays, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Provides patient consultations and education in an outpatient setting under the direction of the physician in charge of the clinical trial
- Conducts study-related physical exams and follow-up visits
- Reviews and adheres to assigned research study protocol
- Works with the study-leading physician in evaluation and review of potential study participants’ eligibility
- Maintains proper documentation
- Ensures that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with established research protocol and standards in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members
- Reviews lab results imaging reports, and other study-specific reports
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or Physician Assistant masters program
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Texas
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience practicing as a provider, preferrably in internal or family medicine.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
