Requirements
- Provide medical care for the injured worker including evaluations for temporary and permanent disability.
- Provide medical treatment, consultation, and diagnosis to an ambulatory walk-in community population. Must demonstrate a commitment to patient care and take an active role in the delivery of medical care in an Urgent Care setting.
- Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent and non-emergent presentation.
- Select, order, perform and interpret tests, analyses and diagnostic images to provide information on patient condition and augment physical findings.
- Analyze reports and findings of tests to diagnose patient.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.
- Perform procedures including laceration repair, management of orthopedic injuries, and provide referrals to medical specialists.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients. Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart including follow up notes.
- Provide occupational health physical examinations and interpretation of OSHA based tests such as audiograms and pulmonary function test.
- Perform DOT physicals, adhering to the federal guidelines.
- Attend to emergencies in the urgent care center; ensuring the appropriate disposition of patient care, including completion of thorough documentation of patient medical records.
- Complete thorough documentation, utilizing corporate standards for patient medical records.
- Demonstrates the provision of healthcare services in a manner that fosters an increased level of patient and staff satisfaction.
- Provide coverage for on-site services, such as firefighter physical, annual employment physicals.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of full time experience as Nurse Practitioneror Physician Assistant. Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience is a plus.
- Nurse Practitioners: Master's degree from accredited institution and appropriate certification required (AANC or AANP). Licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York, ACLS certified, PALS preferred.
- Physician Assistants: Master's degree from accredited institution and NCCPA Certification. Licensed to practice in the State of New York, ACLS certified, PALS preferred.
Salary Description
$141,000 - $156,800 per year
