Form of workM Health Fairview Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Urgent Care and Emergency Department team at M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center. This position would work mainly in the Emergency Department.
Practice Details:
- Join a team of 6 APP's and 14 MD's
- FTE: 0.8, including 18 weekends/year
- Fairview Lakes Medical Center is a 65 licensed bed facility
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Annual Urgent Care volumes: 12,000
- Urgent care department sees an average of 33 patients per day and is staffed by two Advanced Practice Providers (NP or PA)
- Urgent care is open 12PM-8PM daily and is adjacent to the ED. Weekend hours (Saturday/Sunday): 9AM-5PM
- APPs also staff the ED Monday through Friday, 10AM-6PM under the supervision of Emergency Physicians concurrently staffing the department
- ED volume is 75 patients per day with double or triple coverage during APP shift
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)

- Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited Family Nurse Practitioner training program
- BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC
- Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required)
A minimum of 2 years of NP experience is preferred. New grads who have completed an Emergency Medicine Residency will be considered
