- Provide primary care to patients, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses.
- Conduct physical examinations and interpret medical history.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
- Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Perform minor procedures, such as suturing wounds or removing skin lesions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in State of Georgia.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Experience in areas such as tube feeding, esthetic laser treatment, memory care, pain management, workers compensation law, and discharge planning is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
