Avancer Homes LLCNurse Manager (Trainer)

***$500.00 SIGN ON BONUS***

(Requirements met at 90 days, per hours worked to earn sign on bonus)

Starting Salary Is Based on Experience (to be discussed during interview process)

At Avancer Homes LLC our Registered Nurse provides nursing services and the health care needs of the people we serve in a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA.) as well as our Day Training Center. Our RN works within the agency’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal and local administrative rules and regulations, as well as accreditation standards concerning the health care needs of the agency’s clients.

Some Responsibilities Include:

♥ Monitor ordered prescribed medications, supplies and equipment as needed.

♥ Assist in establishing the administration, procedures, and control of medication as recommended by the pharmacist and in accordance with CILA regulations.

♥ Complete medication administration training with all Direct Support Personnel, and including in-services on all medication changes. Re-train as necessary.

♥ Provide consultation via telephone, with staff on medication concerns for the Individuals at Avancer Homes LLC and Genesis DTC LLC. This could fall 'after hours'.

♥ Be available outside of working hours via the agency provided cell phone.

♥ Implement and follow-up on doctor’s orders in collaboration with Residential Manager and DSP staff.

♥ Give injections as ordered by physician.

♥ Implementation for Rule 116 medication administration.

Educational Requirements:

Illinois license as a Registered Professional Nurse

Special Requirements:

• No disqualifying criminal history

• Two years of clinical, registered professional nursing experience within the last five years, at least one of which shall preferably have been in Intellectual Disabilities

• Have the ability to become a Certified Nurse Trainer for medication administration through the Illinois Department of Human Services

• Ability to become a certified CPR trainer

• Completion of twenty continuing education hours per renewal period

• Valid Illinois driver's license preferred and ability to maintain a good driving record

• Ability to lift 50lbs

Tools and Equipment Used:

Van, automobile, copier, telephone, fax, and computer

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in offices and units, vehicles, meeting rooms both in the building and at other agency sites.
