Overview:

The Emergency Department at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center is a Level III trauma center, with specialized ortho trauma care. We also provide excellent stroke, STEMI, and sepsis care, consistently meeting benchmarks. We have a comprehensive forensic nurse examiner program and that team works closely with the ED team to consult on all intentional trauma. Our patient mix is ortho trauma, cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, substance abuse, pediatric illness and trauma. We do not get overflow from other departments. Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). The role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. The Nurse Manager role demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement. This position consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. The Nurse Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• 3 years RN experience, required
• 1-year clinical leadership experience, required
• High School GED required
• A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required
• Masters Degree preferred 
• Current RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required 
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• Must sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire or transfer into the role. Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire or transfer into the role.
• Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
  • Credential: Nursing Specific- ANCC Approved

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Pay Range:

$50.44 - $85.10 / hour
