Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager provides leadership to ensure highly effective and operational practices in all domains: Client outcomes, People and Stewardship across all programs and provision of health services. The Nurse Manager ensures compliance with all pertinent regulatory standards and RMHC policies and procedures across programs and services and collaborates with agency leaders to support well-coordinated and effective services to the people we serve.
Essential Functions:
- Organize services and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the agency.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing care in RMHC programs and services.
- Partner with program leadership to manage budgets, utilize appropriate grant funding.
- Ensuring that program, revenue, and expenditures related to nursing are within budget, including encounter targets.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners in the management and reporting of any required data.
- Communicate and direct program staff sufficient to ensure program alignment with RMHC Mission, Vision and Values
- Recruit, select and ensure proper training of nurses for all programs and services
- Ensure proper orientation and on-going training of all staff associated with the nursing and health services provision, partnering with program leaders.
- Coach and manage staff to meet job requirements such as timely documentation, quality standards, and compliance.
- Provide staff supervision ensuring high quality service to clients and effective collaboration with colleagues to provide care coordination across programs.
- Manage oversight of scheduling and staffing based on program needs and financial sustainability.
- Complete performance appraisals annually for direct supervisees
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with external partners ensuring quality coordination of care, referral management and general positive working relationships.
- Support program employees by removing barriers to effective service delivery.
- Partner with clinical leadership to ensure compliance with all pertinent clinical standards, including state and federal statutes, certifications, and licensure requirements.
- Work across agency departments, practicing positive partnership, to ensure continuity of care, appropriate utilization of resources and to accomplish agency objectives.
- Work in collaboration with the billing department to ensure services meet reimbursement requirements.
- Actively participate as a member of the Management Team to ensure program alignment with RMHC Mission, Vision and Values.
- Network with key community customers and partners; ensure program meets existing needs and identify potential future growth /change opportunities.
- Provide training to nursing staff and other agency staff related to provision of health services.
- All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse
- Has at least 2 years of supervisory/management experience
- Preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license, ability to pass applicable background checks.
- Knowledge and experience in the substance use and mental health fields with at least 6,000 hours of experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Adequate level of vision to use computer terminal.
- Sufficient hearing to accurately record information received verbally.
- Articulates the English language in a manner that is sufficiently clear to be easily understood.
- Maintain an acceptable level of professional appearance.
- Provision of medical procedures, including injections and medication administration
