We have a temporary need for an Employee Health Nurse, starting in April 2024 for a total of three to four months.
The Nurse for Employee Health and Wellness, a key team member of our Human Resources Department, promotes wellness initiatives and provides educational opportunities for our employee population of over 1100 staff members.
Responsibilities would include:
- Covid triage, Covid committee meetings and collaborating, reporting cluster cases to Ulster DOH, following OPWDD guidelines on Covid for staff and individuals
- Communciable disease understanding, triaging and reporting.
- Incident report triaging
- TB screenings, being available to place TSTs or do IGRA blood draws if we have that all set up by then.
- Understanding infection control policies
- Following up with annual BBP sharps container and safety syringe evals from all programs
- Flu shot clinics/administration
The ideal candidate will possess a NYS RN license, and a minimum of three years of experience in a clinical setting. Experience with wellness programs and training are a definite plus. This skilled nurse must possess working knowledge of epidemiology, infectious diseases and aseptic techniques.
HOURS: Monday through Friday - day hours/with flexibility
STARTING SALARY: $ 40/hour
Minimum Requirements:
- NYS Registered Nurse license
- Three years of clinical experience
- Employee Health experience a plus
- Computer skills
