Job Title:Nurse Documentation & Improvement Analyst

Location: Jamaica Queens

Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000

Summary of Responsibilities: The Nurse Documentation & Improvement Analyst collaborates with various team members to efficiently complete assigned tasks. The role involves working with the Priet Clinical Andri, focusing on digital data interpretation, team collaboration, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with project team members to achieve task completion.
• Actively participate in project operations and deliverables.
• Conduct HEDIS/QARR audits to ensure compliance with quality measures.
• Educate new physicians on documentation standards.
• Identify and address project issues and workflow improvements.
• Provide recommendations for issue resolution.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Excel and Word for communication and file creation.
• Facilitate physician and nurse education in chart documentation improvement practices.
• Review clinical documentation to ensure accuracy in reflecting the level of service.
• Perform payment/claim integrity audits to verify Diagnosis and Procedure codes.
• Conduct medical record reviews to ensure support for all charges through clinical documentation.
• Analyze review outcomes and perform root cause analysis.
• Notify physicians/nurses of chart deficiencies and provide necessary inservices.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Perioperative Nursing training and expertise.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong clinical perioperative experience required.
• Essential computer proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Experience with Epic surgical log, preferably intraoperative and perioperative billing.

Physical Requirements:

• The role involves activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.
• Primary duties include taking initiative and demonstrating acute analytical and communication skills.
