Nurse Coordinator - Medical Oncology, Cancer Center, Sequim, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift

JOB SUMMARY:
Works under the direction of Medical Oncologist in an outpatient practice. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of medical oncology patients within the facility. Provides coordination of patient care. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains standards for professional nursing . Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and the Olympic Medical Center. Coordinates activities with the health care team caring for the patients within medical oncology and with outside medical providers. Has contact with patients under a variety of circumstances. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. May handle emergency or crises situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
RN required; BSN or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Minimum of one year experience in an ambulatory medical clinic. Medical oncology experience preferred.
Licensure/Credentials
Current Washington State Registered Nurse License. BLS certified.

• Accrues based on hours worked, equivalent to 4 days per year for a full-time employee (pro-rated for part-time). Maximum of 480 hours allowed in bank. Accrued time may be used to cover illnesses beginning the 4th scheduled consecutive day of work missed due to illness.
