We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Management team. As part of the Medical Management Team, you will be actively involved in performing Tele-Triage Injury Assessment, Plan of Care Development, and Coordination as well as provide Case Management for work-related injuries being treated in a clinic. You will also assist in determining clearance status for requiring clearance exams.
You will have the opportunity to partner and collaborate with outside resources such as healthcare providers, third-party administrators, legal advisors, corporate medical directors, client companies, safety professionals and regulatory agencies to develop, implement, and manage all aspects of a workers' compensation patient’s plan of care.
This is not a telecommuting job; it is done from the 1 Source Office in Ocala Florida.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the oversight and operational activities of occupational health services and review regulatory compliance programs for client companies.
Injury Management:
Assist with the development, implementation, and day-to-day operations of the Injury Management program. You will perform a telephonic assessment of incoming injury calls, review all clinic and diagnostic reports, and assist clients with identifying, evaluating, and implementing accommodations and return-to-work options for workers with restricted duty.
Regulatory Compliance:
Assist or manage the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirements, such as OSHA, Department of Transportation, and other regulatory agencies.
Collaborate with the ergonomic team to assess jobs and provide input regarding ergonomic improvements.
Assess healthcare needs, then implement and manage healthcare programs to improve health and facilitate return to work.
Provide guidance on OSHA records/ reports and worker medical files.
Qualifications and Experience
BSN or ASN and an active unrestricted Indiana state nursing license as registered nurse is required.
A minimum of three years’ experience in an emergency department, urgent care, or case management is preferred.
COHN certification is a plus.
Basic understanding of federal and state regulations applicable to occupational and environmental health and safety.
