Responsibilities:
As a Nurse Anesthetist, CRNA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients throughout the anesthesia process. Under the guidance of Attending Anesthesiologists, you will be responsible for:

  • Administering anesthesia to patients before surgical procedures (no trauma, no heart and no neurological surgery).
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and adjusting anesthesia levels as needed.
  • Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Providing post-anesthesia care and monitoring patients in the recovery phase.
  • Contributing to the development of anesthesia care plans.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
  • Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with proof of current certification.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in an acute care nurse setting.
  • A current, valid New York State nursing license.
  • Certification by the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists..
