Job description

**Eaton's Aerospace sector, Fluid and Electrical Distribution division, is currently seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our team on the 3rd Shift. This vacancy is at our Beltsville, Maryland facility.**

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate and set up different machines with different controls in three or more cells
  • Modify, edit, download, and upload programs through the DNC system to create multiple parts.
  • Perform minor set-ups and tool changes to follow a sequence of operations like turn, drill, and bore different metal components.
  • Identify inserts, cutters, and general tooling for specific operations
  • Pre-kit for the next job
  • Meet OEE target time to achieve daily goals
  • Address scrap causes and corrective actions
  • Follow the procedure according to production routers
  • Read and interpret technical drawings according to standard shop practices.
  • Ensure finished parts conform to print or specification.
  • Perform all 5S+ activities and maintain an immediate work area that is clean and free from hazards.
  • Train and mentor other operators
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

**Basic Qualifications:**

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience OR completion of a machinist/CNC degree/certification.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • This position requires the use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • 2 years of CNC experience
