As a Nuclear Medical Technologist you will:
- Consistently produce high quality NM images using knowledge of NM education, IV skills, computer processing and image enhancement; Prepare and administer medications and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established procedure; Perform diagnostic CT scans, when appropriate, according to established protocol; Accurately documents activity in appropriate computer systems including but not limited to: HIS, RIS, PACS, Teleradiography, image processing); Provides general patient care as necessary within the NM departments.
- Perform Hot Lab functions including the acceptance, maintenance and documentation of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Perform periodic QA checks as required by state and federal law.
- Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume including the transport of patients to and/or from NM as necessary.
- Assist in orienting and training of new employees and students
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates will possess:
- High school or GED
- Graduate of an accredited NM program with AS or BS degree.
- 1 year experience preferred
- CNMT or ARRT (N) registration,
- Maryland state Nuclear Medicine Technologist license, CPR
