Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday schedule, working 10-hour days, 3 to 5 days a week.
Evenings and weekend call rotation every 4th week to share with the RN VAD coordinators.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our Inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to care for our Ventricular Assist Device and advanced heart failure patient populations.
- Manage patients in both the Inpatient and the outpatient settings.
- Closely work with Cardiac Surgery, Advanced Heart Failure, and Transplant Cardiology teams to best support our patients in all stages of health.
- Work with the latest in Ventricular Assist Device technology to find the best outcomes for our patients.
- Work with our research teams to support clinical trials of Ventricular Assist Devices and more.
Education:
If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program
If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program
Work Experience:
Preferred - Three years of inpatient cardiac or critical care nursing experience
Preferred – Three years of Ventricular Assist Device work experience
Licenses and Certifications:
If Nurse Practitioner:
Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND
Active board certification as an NP in Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; or Adult/Gerontology Primary Care
If Physician Assistant:
Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND
Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:
Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP)
