Position Overview:

As the Northern California Area Manager at EDMO, you will take on a leadership role to oversee and manage the operational facets of our non-profit educational programs. Your contribution is pivotal in orchestrating, guiding, and providing support to a team of region managers, educators and facilitators, ensuring the seamless delivery of enriching learning experiences of the utmost quality to our program participants. Your dedication will directly contribute to the triumph of our mission to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and promote lifelong learning in young minds.


Key Responsibilities:

Program Coordination and Oversight:

  • Facilitate the planning, implementation, and execution of educational programs, guaranteeing alignment with EDMO's educational objectives and values.
  • Offer on-site support as needed to support Region Managers in overseeing the day-to-day operations of programs.
  • Visit program sites quarterly to check on program operations and gather feedback on quality improvements.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Create impactful, effective and comprehensive trainings for Region Managers and field staff.
  • Lead, mentor, train and guide a team of Region Managers, cultivating a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous enhancement.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, evaluate performance, and initiate professional development initiatives to elevate the skills and efficacy of the field team.

Collaboration:

  • In coordination with Human Resources, define, implement, and refine operational policies and guidelines for program operations.
  • Ensure the accurate maintenance of all details related to each partnership program in our database, working with the Partner Relations Manager and Region Managers.
  • Identify training requirements and timelines in conjunction with the Curriculum Team.
  • Partner with the Director of Partnerships to verify the execution of all contract obligations for each partnership by the Region Managers and Site Directors.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Programs Officer on backend systems and tools essential for enhancing programming.

Quality Assurance and Evaluation:

  • Monitor program delivery and participant experiences, ensuring adherence to organizational systems, program objectives, and quality benchmarks.
  • Implement assessment tools to collect feedback, gauge outcomes, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Forge and maintain robust relationships with partner schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders, heightening program reach and impact.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to tackle challenges, adapt programs, and explore avenues for expansion.

Resource Management:

  • Efficiently manage program budgets, materials, and resources to amplify program impact within allocated resources.
  • Collaborate closely with the warehouse/logistics team to guarantee timely procurement of materials and supplies.

Program Innovation:

  • Constantly seek innovative approaches and best practices to elevate program content, delivery methods, and engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to infuse novel concepts and educational trends into program offerings.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, education, or related roles, showcasing a track record of accomplished leadership.
  • Sound comprehension of educational principles, child development, and experiential learning methodologies.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Adept at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, exhibiting strong project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and a knack for thriving in diverse and multicultural environments.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational acumen and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Profound analytical and problem-solving aptitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Driving to program locations/schools
  • Prolonged periods of standing and moving around with kids in the programs
  • Ability to squat or kneel down to speak with kids on their level
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift 25 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet

Supervisory:

This position supervises a team of region managers and will report to the Director of Partnerships.


Location Requirements:

This position is located in Northern California and needs to be within driving distance to our program locations. We have locations in Salinas, Monterey and surrounding areas, San Jose, Alameda, Oakland, East Palo Alto, Richmond and surrounding areas, Sacramento, and Lake County.


Compensation:

This is a Full time, regular exempt position. The salary range for this position is $80k - $90k and will be commensurate with experience and location.
