NORTHAMPTON HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

The Northampton Public Schools seeks a dynamic, innovative and experienced High School Principal who is a visionary and action-oriented leader to begin July 2024. Our future principal embraces the districts core educational values and will create a vision for our HIGH SCHOOL aligned with the Districts strategic plan. The right candidate will be committed to issues of diversity and equity, have a high degree of autonomy and trust within the school, can manage, supervise and work alongside staff, and will collaborate with educators, students, administrators and community members to cultivate lifelong learning in all of our students ensuring success for college and career readiness. Foster a growth mindset among students, teachers, and caregivers.Nurture Kindness, Empathy, and ToleranceThe principal is a compassionate leader with a sincere commitment to social justice. The principal will: Promote positive techniques to promote prosocial student behavior.
Help all school community members to understand and appreciate the perspectives of others.Model and lead anti-bias and anti-bullying education at the school level.Leadership practices are anticipated to be inclusive, creative, engage all students, and support differentiated instruction.Northampton High School serves approximately 900 students in grades 9 through 12. Start Date: July 1, 2024 Full-Time: Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
