Neuberger Berman is seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern to join our North American Intermediary Client Coverage Group for 8 weeks. We work directly with Neuberger Berman’s Intermediary partners including existing and prospective clients. Summer Interns will partner with members of the team on client service, business development and relationship management initiatives in addition to participating in the broader firm intern programming. Successful interns will be offered the opportunity to join us for a full time role upon their graduation.
Responsibilities:
N.A. Intermediary Client Coverage:
Create internal and external client/prospect meeting preparation materials for client facing colleagues and investment teams
Coordinate with Associates and Analysts to respond to ad-hoc client requests and work on strategic projects
Work with members of the team to analyze and collect latest industry/market information to understand the intermediary marketplace, current clients and prospects, and trends within the industry
Engage in mock presentations enabling you to demonstrate your ability to excel in a client facing capacity
Firm Intern Programming:
Attend various firm panels throughout the internship focused on Neuberger Berman’s lines of businesses and operations, including portfolio management, corporate divisions, research, alternatives and distribution
Participate in various Learning and Engagement offerings including interviewing and presentation skills
Corporate volunteer event with a select not-for-profit partner organization
Research and assess the investment quality of a specific company in small groups. Over the course of the program, compile and analyze company/industry research and present a buy/sell/hold recommendation to a group of Neuberger Berman’s senior portfolio managers
Qualifications:
Rising senior come Summer 2024, with strong academic credentials (minimum GPA 3.2); all majors will be considered
Must provide a cover letter attached with resume when applying to the role
Candidates should have an interest in the financial industry and be an energetic, motivated self-starter
Strong sales orientation/aptitude and/or keen interest in client facing / sales
Excellent presentation and writing skills
Ability to work independently and manage/prioritize multiple projects
Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail-oriented
Team-player with a collaborative attitude
Experience within the Financial Services or Asset Management industry a plus
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $30-$30. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, production, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
