This Supply Chain Planning Manager is in an integral part of the North America Supply Chain team accountable for the Supply Chain Planning and inventory management for the North America Commercial business. Defines and implements strategies or projects to optimize the Supply Chain capabilities in support of business strategies. Evaluates competitiveness with respect to service and experience with customers. Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders to monitor business environment and enables agility to maximize business results. Actively maintains an accurate demand and supply forecast at the appropriate levels, horizons, and intervals to maximize inventory. Accountable for monitoring the performance and leading communications regarding supply availability. Drives process standardization by identifying best practices and actively seek out innovations driving productivity and efficiencies in Supply Chain processes. Cultivate, coach and mentor a diverse group of planners and analysts to achieve personal and business goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage end to end Supply Chain processes ensuring that business needs are met, optimal supplies are planned, and customer experience is fulfilled.
  • Lead development and execution of plans including demand plans, supply plans and production-location specific growing/sourcing plans at a product level emphasis on +1 and +2 years of planning cycle across multiple crops.
  • Provides input to the Master and Detailed Production Schedule, Inventory Reconciliation, and creation of rough-cut capacity plans.
  • Oversee inventory characterization, allocations of material, discard management, quality analysis and reporting, and inventory management, and maintain company internal contractional specifications.
  • Monitors overall distribution processes to ensure goals are met:
    • Supports distribution execution to ensure shipping requirements are met while minimizing costs while maintaining or improving service levels
  • Utilizes performance metrics to monitor performance and timelines with stakeholders
  • Identify and oversee development of process improvements related to supply/demand and risk management models and business developed systems.
  • Manage the daily activities of assigned planners and analysts. Provide direction, development opportunities and coaching.
  • Provide business, financial and economic analysis to various staff as requested.
  • Manage interfaces with other Supply Chain or Business functions to collectively drive Supply Chain Strategy and maximize customer service. Manage and maintain open and trusted working relationships.
  • Serve on and/or provide leadership to various cross functional teams

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equiv. field required.
  • 5-10 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities; experience supervising others required.
  • Strong general business competencies; strong analytical aptitude; ability to take complex information and summarize it in a meaningful way; ability to work effectively cross functionally and across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent leadership skills; innovative thinking; solid information management skills.
  • Applied knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications; cost and capacity analysis; network optimization; applied statistics; general agricultural business background.
  • Ability to utilize resources effectively throughout the organization.
  • Assimilating large volumes of information; analyzing data to identify trends; summarizing findings; and making recommendations.
  • Prioritizing projects and assigning team resources to drive the most value to the Supply Chain team and the broader business.
  • Ability to balance tactical and strategic issues
  • Experience in planning, assessing and implementing change
  • Solid business acumen
  • Ability to deal with conflict, and to influence and build consensus around a decision/action
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large cross-functional teams to attain outstanding levels of performance
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong business relationships
