North Alabama Utility Construction Inspector/Gis Coordinator

Integra Water Madison County, LLC is looking for a Utility Construction Inspector & GIS Coordinator for our Alabama wastewater systems. We are constantly adding new systems in North Alabama and are needing a construction inspector to oversee the installation of these company assets and a GIS coordinator to enter these assets into the ArcGIS database. The ideal candidate will live in proximity to Meridianville, AL or Athens, AL but travel between Meridianville, AL and Limestone County, AL will be required. The primary responsibilities will include observing that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications, daily field reporting, tracking contractor’s installed quantities, witnessing tests, documenting test results, GIS field verification, and serving as the liaison between the utility and contractor. This position will report to the Development and Construction Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to interpret, engineering drawings and specifications and the general conditions of contracts.
• Conducts on-site inspections of contractor’s work
• Serves as the liaison between the utility and contractor.
• Knowledge of construction methods of sewer pipe installation and construction of new wastewater treatment plants
• Understands regulatory requirements from agencies such as ADEM
• Reviews field pressure tests and attends progress meetings.
• Qualified candidates will work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to use technology to enter data into the GIS system.
• Field verification of assets using ArcGIS.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School education or equivalent. Civil Engineering related coursework/certifications, Associates Degree preferred

• Minimum 5 years in the construction field or construction management
• A current and valid driver's license with good driving record
