Job description

The Apps Support Tech Lead Analyst accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness, and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting, and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning.
Responsibilities:

  • Designs/analyzes complex reports to satisfy management requirements.
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across work streams
  • Deals with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact.
  • Uses broad discretion in developing solutions for broad based business reporting issues.
  • Leads reengineering efforts in business's methodology, strategy, and organizational goals.
  • Manages resource allocation and leads the work within a team/project to develop solutions for business reporting issues
  • Build and enhance operational dashboard to track the inbound/outbound delivery and appropriately update the status in jira, besides notifying to partner downstream systems
  • Identify areas of manual intervention, automate such processes and bring efficiency to the support model
  • Applies/demonstrates advanced understanding of processes, procedures, and policies for aligned business
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
  • Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower-level personnel in the business processes and procedures of the business
  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Influences strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services that have direct impact on the business.
  • Persuades and influences others through developed communication and diplomacy skills with colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
  • May be responsible for resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
  • Works and coordinates with a multidisciplinary group of business leads, operations managers, and technologists.
  • Defines detailed business data requirements and documenting them.
  • Completes projects to acquire data, manage it, and present it for use in reporting and statistics.
  • Documents platform processes, procedures and training materials.
  • Leads discussions and requirement gathering sessions, reaching consensus and recommending solutions on system issues and projects.
  • Coordinates and plans work activities, meetings and other tasks that demonstrate leadership with measurable results.
  • Performs other job duties and functions as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years' of relevant experience in Software Development
  • 5+ years Experiences database platforms Netezza, Oracle and Teradata and Unix environments
  • 5+ years experience in an Apps Support role with commensurate experience in people management
  • 5+ years experience with various DB platforms - includes Oracle, Netezza, Teradata and/or nosql databases etc.,
  • Experience with supporting large scale complex applications on Ab Initio suite of products is a must
  • Experience with supporting Big Data Platform, preferably on Cloudera
  • Experience with App Dynamics environment monitoring
  • Deals with occasionally complex and highly variable issues
  • Capacity Planning/Forecasting exposure is a must
  • May be responsible for detailed analysis of issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/ taken
  • Requires communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence
  • Domain knowledge on Banking and Financial Services experiences preferred
  • Experience with defining and implementing data quality programs
  • Understanding of QA within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
  • Demonstrated logical analysis skills, attention to detail and problem-solving Proven ability to work to deadlines.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
  • Master's Degree Preferred
