Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT) Driver to join our team. As a Transport Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers to their destinations. If you have excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and enjoy providing exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
- Assist clients in boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Assist clients with mobility aids, such as wheelchairs, walkers, or canes, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, ensuring it is safe and roadworthy at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transportation process.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any other relevant information.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, confidentiality, and client care.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a driver in a similar role (van driver, shuttle driver, paratransit, limousine, bus driving, delivery driver)
- Ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Commercial driving experience is preferred but not required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
