The NON-CDL driver is responsible for spotting trailers, processing inbound and outbound orders, and movement of trailers. The person must also possess a great deal of flexibility in their ability to multi-task and maintain a positive, team attitude.
Job Summary: The NON-CDL driver is responsible for spotting trailers, processing inbound and outbound orders, and movement of trailers. The person must also possess a great deal of flexibility in their ability to multi-task and maintain a positive, team attitude.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers.
- Provide directions for all inbound and outbound loads.
- Responsible for moving trailer onsite and offsite within Vertical’s yard.
- Interact with truck drivers and customers.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular attendance at work.
- Other duties to be assigned as business necessitates.
Job Qualifications - Education and Experience:
- Prior production experience is desired.
- NON-CDL license required. (Driver License)
- Clean MVR Report.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and incoming and outgoing load documents.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stand and walk for 8 or more hours a day.
- Effectively handle lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Frequently required to bend, twist, use hands to finger, climb or balance, and reach with hands and arms.
