Responsibilities:
Key Roles
- Network Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the Fiber Optic Data Network.
- Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external data customers, ensuring exceptional service and support.
- Dispatch: Efficiently manage and coordinate dispatch activities to address network-related issues.
- Splicing Report: Generate detailed splicing reports, contributing to the overall maintenance of the network.
- Maintenance: Contribute to the ongoing maintenance activities, ensuring the network's optimal functionality.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer and generate all inbound calls, providing high-quality assistance and support.
- Maintain and enhance data within monitoring software for improved efficiency and ease of use.
- Handle end-to-end trouble tickets, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor network performance and track outage and maintenance events, providing necessary notifications.
- Collaborate with the Field Operations Department to provide route details and trace routes as required.
- Work with NetOps and Field Operations Department for appropriate notifications and call-outs.
- Generate and distribute system reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience or a technical certification in networking or a related field.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to learn, teach, and share knowledge within a collaborative environment.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of network hardware and relevant monitoring software.
- Familiarity with additional software is a plus but not required.
