POSITION SUMMARY
The primary role of NOC Engineer is to provide world class service, proactively monitor and analyze systems and networks for functionality, performance and security. The NOC team is key to providing these core support services. An engineer with strong problem solving skills is desired as well as has the ability to work day, evening and night shifts as well as some holidays. The salary for this position is $45,000+ (negotiable based on experience).
This is an on-site role in Melville, NY.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Respond to network and system faults reported by our monitoring platform
- Respond to security platform events and participate in triage, investigation and analyst functions
- Troubleshoot fault conditions and perform corrective actions
- Participate in change management
- Respond to customer inquiries and problem
- Communicate with parties regarding received faults, diagnosis and suggested remediation
- Manage incident tickets by following work-flow, performing notifications and documenting procedure result
- Work with third party service providers to facilitate corrective actions to fault or performance incidents
- Collaborate with other team members, customers and service providers
- Participate in maintaining monitoring platforms
- Create network and system documentation during customer onboarding
- Create periodic reports for capacity and performance of the monitored event
DESIRED SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Technology or equal experience
- Strong network and systems troubleshooting skills
- Motivated to resolve issues efficiently
- Good communication and systems troubleshooting skills
- Top Notch troubleshooting skills
- Cisco certifications (desirable)
- Microsoft certifications (desirable)
- ITIL certification (desirable)
- Cybersecurity certifications (desirable)
- Computer networking (preferred)
- LAN: 1 year (preferred)
