ECS is seeking a NOAA RAPIDS Specialistto work in our Newport, OR office.
Job Description:
This position requires the candidate to assist and support the deployable Real Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) process. The position is located at the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Marine Operations Center - Pacific (MOC-P). Following enrollment by the Site Security Manager, the candidate shall successfully complete the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) on-line training courses. The candidate shall support issuance of Common Access Cards (CACs) to NOAA employees daily.
Specific tasking includes:
- Issuing CACs, Resetting CAC Personal Identification Numbers, Reissuing malfunctioning CACs, and Terminating CACs.
- Shall maintain credentials by successfully completing the DMDC courses annually.
- Other duties as assigned Travel is not planned but may be required.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5-Years administrative support or site security experience in a USG Agency preferably in marine operations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound skills in written and oral communication is a must.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check.
- US Citizen.
- Public Trust Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience as a RAPIDS Verifying Official.
- Specialist Associates.
- College Degree BA, BS, etc. PMP or position related certifications.
