Federally designated as a senior military college, one of the university's signature leadership programs is its 800-member Corps of Cadets on UNG's Dahlonega Campus. Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Night Tactical Officer on the Dahlonega Campus. This position is responsible to the Assistant Commandant of Cadets for Teaching, Instructing, Lecturing, and Imparting military knowledge to a 800 member Corps of Cadets during the evening hours from 1700-0100 hours.

Individual provides coaching and advisement to Cadets on military residential living, discipline, overall Cadet welfare at night. Must be able to multi-task, manage deadlines and represent program on and off campus as required. Responsibilities Serves as the primary 1st Responder during the night and is a teacher to the Corps of Cadets Leaders (students) on the duties on how to deal with issues such as Suicide, Anger Management and Depression issues.

Imparts knowledge to Cadet leaders on the art and science of military leadership. Provides mentorship on the role of a professional non-commissioned officer. Instructs Cadet leaders in Student Conduct procedures; lectures in NCO Academy, Pre-Command Course and other Cadet/student agencies.

Teaches Cadet leaders to maintain military resident hall living conditions; instructs Cadets in how to inspect, maintain and care for facilities and other students. Responsible for 3 military residence halls. Instructs Cadet Leaders on how to document residential room standards upon occupation and departure.

Imparts knowledge to Cadet Leaders to assess damages above normal wear and tear. Instructs Cadet Leaders on how to document residential room standards upon occupation and departure. Imparts knowledge to Cadet Leaders to assess damages above normal wear and tear.

Imparts knowledge to students when traveling to conferences and overseas exchange programs on the expected standards of professional behavior. Escorts Cadets to conferences in former Soviet Union Bloc countries. Teaches Cadet Leaders the disciplinary processes and instructs them on how to complete applicable paperwork.

Teaches Cadets on how to interact with parents and other agencies at night when problems occur. Teaches Cadets on how to supervise Cadets who are serving disciplinary tours and conducting Quarters (Study Hall). Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong computer skills; strong interpersonal skills; strong oral and written skills; must be a team player and committed to integrity and professionalism.

Must maintain confidentiality on Cadet issues. Knowledge of PC platforms; knowledge of MICROSOFT Office, Excel, Power Point and other programs a must. Knowledge of working with college students in a military/academic program atmosphere.

Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Prior senior non-comissioned officer (E-7/E-8) required. Preferred Qualifications Military retiree preferred.
