Job Summary:
As the Maintenance Crew Lead, you will be responsible for equipment reliability and function. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage resources effectively. The Maintenance Crew Lead will play a key role in maintaining a safe and functional environment for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Lead and support a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Plan and assign tasks to team members based on priorities and skillsets.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
Maintenance Planning:
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Assess and prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.
- Ensure that maintenance work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Creation and execution of work orders
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize your technical knowledge to troubleshoot and address complex maintenance issues.
- Provide hands-on support when necessary, demonstrating proficiency in various maintenance tasks.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies.
-Involvement in BR process
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for the maintenance team.
- Onboard mechanics with LOTO, HOD and Forklift certifications
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with team members, other departments, and management.
- Report maintenance activities, issues, and progress to the Maintenance Team Lead.
- Foster open communication and address concerns within the team promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities role, with at least 3 years’ experience.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of maintenance processes and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Self driven, motivated to help/train other mechanics, work well with others.
