Description:
100% remote, Night Shift, Command Center Analyst needed to perform mainframe and distributed operations monitoring, batch processing and recovery functions. This position will be responsible for supporting the MVS mainframe and Distributed platform applications as identified. This will involve working with system programmers, divisional application programmers and end users to understand their needs relating to system performance, problem resolution and batch processing.
This position requires a basic understanding of PC, server and mainframe peripheral equipment which compose a complex processing environment. The successful candidate will support daily batch processing schedules, performance monitoring of multiple Sysplex structured LPARS, transaction processing performance and resolution of batch processing issues. An understanding of scheduling and monitoring protocols, z/OS MVS, VM Linux, JCL, Control-M, Mainview, TSO, SDSF, CICS, IMS, DB2, Endevor, DASD storage, IBM iSeries, and Remedy is desirable. A two year degree in computer science, or equivalent knowledge, and a minimum of one year experience in a z/OS mainframe environment is required.
The position could require working nights, weekends and holidays as the normal working hours.
