NIGHT MONITOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Independent Seasonal Contractor

Position Overview:
As a Night Monitor with Orange Moon Student Safety Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of student travelers during their overnight stays at various lodgings in and around your residential and neighboring cities. This is a seasonal per diem contractor position, providing flexibility and the opportunity to earn a daily rate of $17 per hour.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Perform curfew watch and noise enforcement at assigned lodgings.
  • Work collaboratively with tour directors, group leaders, and other chaperones to enforce curfew rules, restrict visitors, and deliveries during curfew hours.
  • Respond promptly to circumstances within the hotel that pertain to the well-being of students.
  • Interact professionally with tour directors, group leaders, school staff, and other adult chaperones.
  • Complete detailed hourly reports and incident reports as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of alertness and awareness throughout the shift.
  • Walk and roam hallways to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Monitor and report on the health and hygiene of students and adult customers to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Video check-in with compliance monitors during assignment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide detailed feedback reports.
  • Active and accessible email address.
  • Cell phone with text messaging for effective communication.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Neat and clean appearance.
  • Consent to a background check.

Pay and Schedule:

  • Daily pay at the rate of $17 per hour.
  • Assignments range from 4 to 10 hours.
  • Flexible scheduling, allowing you to choose when you work and create your own schedule.

Peak Season and Travel Restrictions:

  • Non-essential travel is restricted during the peak season from the first week of March to the second week of June.
