You will be mixing, forming and baking all the bread that has made Ceres Bakery a local favorite. Crusty baguettes, a variety of sourdough, burger buns and sliced bread-a little bit of everything. Experience would be amazing-even if it is different type of baking or commercial kitchen experience. Our bakers work in team of two-initially we will train on mixing the dough and then scoring and baking.
This job is very physical. You must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
Right now the shifts we are hoping to fill are Monday and Tuesday nights 4pm to 2am. The end time can vary depending on how many orders we have received. If you needed more hours to make the job work for you let me know and we can work a schedule out.
After 6 months you will start accruing vacation time, and pay raises as you learn more and become a better baker. We believe in a well caffeinated work force so lots of free coffee drinks and of course you need to do quality control so we expect the bakers to take bread home!
