We are seeking a highly motivated Executive Action Officer to join our team. The Executive Action Officer will be responsible for leading the mission-essential Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance team in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Research Directorate.

This position is with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) NGA Research Directorate supports the NSG and National Security Strategy by solving hard defense and intelligence problems for the IC and DoD. NGA Research is organized into three technical offices: Foundational GEOINT; Advanced Phenomenologies; and Analytic Technologies. NGA Research delivers capabilities within these technical offices through pods, functionally organized to address specific technology needs and products. The NGA Research Mission Support Office supports the pods and technical offices. It includes Strategic Partnerships and Communications (SPC); Technology Transition, Transfer, and Protection (T3P); Program Planning and Execution (PPE); and the Research Lab Environment (RLE) teams. The Executive Action Officer must have experience preparing and editing correspondence, reviewing guidance, and distilling information for distribution. Ability to provide timely coordination and distill responses from multiple parties with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate actions pre and post meetings. Experience providing logistics and management support to Executive staff, including coordinating and entering travel into MET and DTS. Understanding and adherence to Agency policies and procedures. Functions with minimal supervision.

Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing mission and vision statements and/or policy and be able to assist the government in establishing goal and objectives

- Extract and synthesize complex information to prepare briefing, read-ahead and other materials
- Identify, analyze, and resolve business and administrative issues and challenges that are central to the effective conduct of his/her activities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the NGA office management policies, procedures, records management, and guidelines
- Perform administrative officer duties to include scheduling, coordinating meetings, coordinating calendars and events; and gathering, inputting, and retrieving electronic data
- Serve as the primary suspense coordinator for all agency taskings to include those from external agencies, internal offices, and staff packages
- Assemble and process Staff Summary Packages for the agency/office
- Assist with Office staff meetings and provide administrative and coordination support to the forum; take notes and electronically record actions from key personnel as needed
- Assist in the preparation of routine and special topic briefings and reports; prepare and distribute briefing reports and read-ahead material
- Routinely review floor plans, coordinate office moves and obtain appropriate NGA authorization for office construction, equipment, or personnel moves; update seating charts and prepare cubicle name signs for incoming personnel
- Travel plans and itineraries for Senior Government personnel to include DTS authorizations and vouchers; create and manage MET request for GR seniors
- Compile, edit, and disseminate articles submitted from each GR branch to create the Weekly Activity Report (WAR)
- Assist in the creation and implementation of TR succession planning to include reviewing strategic workforce planning (SWP), work roles, and training
- Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management
Required Qualifications:
- 15 year's experience working with Research and Development projects, teams or organization
- Exceptional communications skills, with a strong understanding of federal budgeting disciplines
- Strong skills with managing detailed problems and complex processes.

- Master's degree or higher in communications, psychology, management or equivalent degrees
- Excellent command of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for consistency.
- Extensive experience using a variety of software used to prepare correspondence, including Microsoft Office programs.
