Newspaper club meets after school on a schedule designed by the advisor. The newspaper advisor acts as a facilitator and final editor. Under the supervision of the advisor, a student editor-in-chief and a student assistant editor choose the articles, photographs and other items, complete the layout of the newspaper, and edit the publications. The main focus of the publication is on the events and activities of Windsor Locks Middle School, but the newspaper also includes town news and interest articles for the student of the Middle School. The publication is distributed to the students and teachers through homerooms or iBlock, and the remaining staff and administration though school mailboxes. An digital edition is uploaded to the Middle School web cite.
