We are seeking a talented and passionate News Reporter to join our team. As a News Reporter, you will have the opportunity to inform and engage our audience through compelling storytelling and accurate reporting. Responsibilities:
- Research, investigate, and report on news stories in a timely manner
- Conduct interviews with sources to gather information
- Write clear, concise, and engaging news articles for print and online platforms
- Capture high-quality photographs to accompany news articles
- Fact check information and ensure accuracy of all reported content
- Collaborate with editors and other team members to develop story ideas
- Proofread articles for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Stay up-to-date with current events and trends in the industry
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a News Reporter or similar role
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt writing style for different platforms (print, online, social media)
- Proficient in fact checking and conducting thorough research
- Knowledge of AP Style guidelines
- Experience with proofreading and copyediting
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Basic photography skills are a plus
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in news reporting
- Video production experience is a plus

Pay: $35,723.55 - $43,021.91 per year
Schedule:
