Job description

The New Store Opening Specialist (also known as the Launch Specialist) provides operational training on Krispy Krunchy brand standards and processes.

  • Monitors to ensure on-time launch of New Store Openings, including conducting operational readiness checklist, assists operators to resolve implementation issues.
  • Prepares Operators for success by communicating the benefits of running a high performing operation and the value and potential return in making sound investments in the business by influencing decisions and holding the team accountable to commitments during and before launch week.
  • Provides on-the-job, on-site training to Operators and their employees during launch week. Launch Specialists will train directly using the current operations guide and any other KK-provided training collateral.
  • Demonstrates proper food service knowledge, best sanitation practices, POS comprehension, and other related issues.
  • Communicates with other departments at KK to provide insight and consultation on operational issues; participates in the evaluation of rollouts to ensure continuous improvement and refinement of processes.
  • Works cross functionally with the Sales and Support teams to vet new locations and ensure optimal transition of new store openings from launch to growth phase.
  • Ensures business operations and practices are in compliance with agreements and brand standards. Documents and communicates areas of concern; partners with operators on the development and execution of performance improvement action plans.
  • Direct liaison between Distribution Center Reps and Operators. Responsible for verifying opening food orders with designated food distributors for new store openings.
  • Assists in set up and working trade shows.
  • Responsible for proper understanding and following all company policies/procedures as outlined in the Company Handbook.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of Operations/Training in preferred hospitality or retail industry
  • Valid driver’s license with a approved driving record
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis, stand for long periods of time, drive for long periods of time, bend, twist, and work on a ladder

Location & Travel Requirement:

  • Travel required up to 75-80% of the time including air travel. Weekends and night travel may be required. Candidate will work the remaining time out of his/her home.
  • Competitive salary + 35% BONUS
