Department/Position Overview:
The 3 West Ortho/Trauma unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General specializes in providing expert care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and related complications. Our unit is comprised of 24 in-patient beds. Our patient population includes admissions from the Ortho Joint, Spine, Fracture, and Ortho/Trauma centers, as well as medical/surgical patients. The nursing unit enjoys a supportive team environment including resources such as a unit-based nurse educator, orthopedic navigator, respiratory therapy, PT/OT, nursing care partners, unit coordinators, charge nurse and manager. The unit has an active Unit-Based Partnership Council and participates in many hospital-wide Nurse led Councils. All new grad RNs receive a 12-week clinical preceptorship as well as enrollment into the Vizient AACN Nurse Residency Program.

Requirements:
- graduation or pending graduation from a nursing program. ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.
- Valid RN license
