Experienced RNs
A Registered Nurse at Wayne UNC Health Care is a member of the patient care team who, with knowledge of the nursing process, provides leadership in applying scientific principles and professional skills aimed at caring for the ill, preventing disease and maintaining optimum health. The RN assists the provider in carrying out a therapeutic regimen for each patient and directs other licensed and non-licensed nursing teammates in providing nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individual patients. The RN implements the nursing process in order to provide professional holistic patient care. Provides all nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
We are hiring Experienced RNs for all areas! Experienced RNs qualify for up to a 24K Commitment Incentive!
New Graduate RNs
The Nurse Resident at UNC Health Wayne is a member of the patient care team who, with knowledge of the nursing process, provides leadership in applying scientific principles and professional skills aimed at caring for the ill, preventing disease, and maintaining optimum health. The new RN graduate will go through a residency program to include general orientation, orientation to the unit, and programs to help bridge the gap from transition from student nurse to Registered Nurse.
We are looking for New Graduate RNs to join our team in the following units:
- 2nd floor: Post-surgical
- 3rd floor: Telemetry
- 4th: Oncology
- 6th: Med-Surg
- 7th: Cardiopulmonary/Med-Surg
- ICU
- ED
- OR
New Graduate RNs qualify for a 15K Commitment Incentive!
LPNs
Under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider, the Licensed Practical Nurse assumes responsibilities for direct nursing care of assigned patients. Assists in carrying out a therapeutic regimen for each patient and directs non-licensed nursing teammates in providing nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individual patients. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
We are hiring LPNs for the following units:
- 2nd floor: Post-surgical
- 4th: Oncology
- 6th: Med-Surg
- 7th: Cardiopulmonary/Med-Surg
- ED

How do I qualify?
Experienced RNs and LPNS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing
- Current Registered Nurse or LPN licensure in North Carolina or Compact state required.
- One year experience preferred.
New Grad RNsand LPNs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate or in final year of an accredited program of professional nursing
- Current Registered Nurse or LPN licensure in North Carolina or Compact state required.
- Less than one year experience.
