Overview:
Emergency DepartmentRegistered Nurses provide emergency nursing care for a diversified population of all age distributions and all problem types. The patient population served by the Emergency Department consists of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring or seeking medical care. Twenty percent of our ED volume is pediatric.
Schedule: This position will be working 0.9 FTE (72 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the day/evening/night shift and will also work every other weekend.

- Fairview Ridges Emergency Department is a Level 3 Trauma Center located in Burnsville, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions.

- We have 45 beds, see an average of 191 patients daily, and a yearly census of approximately 66,000 and growing!
- Team members include Board Certified Emergency Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, Transport, and Case Managers.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications
- Current MN RN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers
- Ability to provide current ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) and TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) will be required of all staff within the first year of employment. CEN and CPEN strongly encouraged
Preferred Qualifications
- Emergency Department clinical or capstone experience strongly preferred.
- BSN
