POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lean Facilitator is responsible for leading manufacturing facilities and project teams in continuous improvement using lean concepts and tools.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead and facilitate lean kaizen events.
• Coordinate and provide lean training programs.
• Ensure audit processes are in place to sustain 5S and visual factory performance.
• Liaise with the other New FlyerLean Facilitators to ensure standardization of lean initiative and practices is attained and best practices are implanted in all locations.
• Maintain knowledge of lean processes and tools, including 5S, Visual Factory, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Value Graphs, Standardized Work, Cycle Time Reduction and Set-up Time Reduction.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• College diploma or University degree in Engineering or Business-related field would be an asset
• Minimum of three years previous experience in a Lean or Six Sigma manufacturing environment
• Lean greenbelt certification or equivalent training and experience would be an asset
• Proficient use of the Microsoft suite of products with an emphasis on Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of the organization
• Highly developed problem solving and facilitation skills
• Exceptional decision-making ability
