In this job, you will work in the New Development Project Management (NDPM) group, within Transmission and Distribution, which is at the forefront of Southern California Edison's (SCE) interactions with the California building industry. The team partners with residential and commercial builders/consultants to bring large-scale projects onto the grid. This groups work is vital to maintaining one of California's most important economic engines and their efforts directly contribute to SCE's growth and directly impacts customer satisfaction. The person will be responsible for managing residential and commercial projects from inception to close. This position regularly manages a wide diversity of work types, and the role provides an exciting and challenging work environment while engaging with internal and external partners.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
- Responsible for managing residential tracts and applicant design commercial projects for new business customers throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Prepare and gather all required documentation for new submittals to the New Development Design Hubs and receive Preliminary/Final Designs to acquire customer approval.
- Disseminate all required information between customers/consultants, and all T&D Stakeholders by facilitating conference calls/in-person meetings.
- Ensure all work order requirements are met including releases, permits, and inspections when scheduling projects for construction with Districts or Regional Hubs.
- Coordinate/Schedule SCE Electrical Construction and SCE Civil Construction as required (i.e. customer tie-in, etc.).
- Provide project status updates at various T&D forums while building relationships with district and regional contacts to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Participate in process improvement working sessions and assist in developing implementation plans.
- Test/validate the project management processes, cost assumptions, and best practices.
The essentials
- Seven years of Project Management experience including ownership of scope, cost, and schedule.
- Valid Driver's license.
The preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, STEM or Computer Information systems or related technical field
- MBA, Six Sigma certification
- Experience using excel
- Experience managing detailed analytic reports under very tight time frames.

- The position's work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs. - The primary work location for this position is Irvine
- This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
- Position will require up to 30% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE NW Service Territory.
