TITLE: New Business Intake and Conflicts Support Specialist
SUMMARY:New Business Intake and Conflicts Specialistis responsible for reviewing all New Business that is generated firm-wide in support of the firm's risk management need. The position is responsible for performing thorough and accurate conflict of interest searches on all New Business and lateral attorney hiring. Along with conflicts of interest checks, the NBI and Conflicts Specialist is responsible for understanding and performing some NBI and Matter Maintenance functions.
PRIMARY
DUTIES:
- Skilled use of logic to generate name searches for matter opening
- Skilled use of knowledge to identify potential conflicts of interest
- Review existing waivers
- Understanding and use of Corporate Family Tree Structures in searches
- Perform client research using Capital IQ and WestLaw
- Maintain system black book warnings
- Setup and monitor ethical screens in Intapp Walls
- Monitor and maintain the Conflicts Inbox and Helpline
- Full knowledge of Firm Policies and Procedures to ensure new clients and matters are appropriately compliant
- Maintain and Modify approval roles
- Ability to organize for large projects (Lateral Hire requests, Audit requests, Marketing requests)
- Comprehend all aspects of the NBI program to assist with Partner and LA questions
- Understand Aderant Quicklook screen resource tools
- Additional Matter Party Processing
- Ensure Database integrity using department and Firm standards of input
- Re-open matters reviewing conflict search and rate structure for approvals
- Backup Matter Maintenance Specialist in certain aspects of NBI and Matter Maintenance
- Assist with data cleanup projects
Requirement/
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in legal industry
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- The ability to analyze large data sets
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including excel
- Intapp Conflicts are preferred but not required
