Position:Neurodiagnostic Technologist 
Location: Newport Beach, CA

Job Summary:

As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will play a critical role in conducting neurophysiological tests to evaluate and diagnose neurological disorders. Your responsibilities will include performing various diagnostic procedures, recording and analyzing data related to brain and nervous system function, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate assessments for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct neurodiagnostic tests such as electroencephalograms (EEGs), nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyography (EMG), and evoked potential tests.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain test protocols, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the testing process.
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in neurodiagnostic testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Record and analyze data obtained from tests, recognizing and reporting any abnormalities or irregularities to healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with neurologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning for patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting test results, observations, and other pertinent information.
  • Adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements during testing procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Neurodiagnostics, Neurophysiology, or related field. (Note: Some positions may accept candidates with equivalent experience or certifications in lieu of a degree.)
  • Certification as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG T.), Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.), or equivalent credentials preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing EEGs, NCS, EMGs, and other neurodiagnostic tests.
  • Knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathology related to neurological disorders.
  • Familiarity with specialized neurodiagnostic equipment and software.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret and analyze test results accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.
